‘Charming Xiangxi’ wins diamond award

The three-day National Artistic Performance Exchange Competition came to an end in Xiamen City of Fujian Province on December 17. The ethnic costume dance show “Charming Xiangxi” performed by the Jishou Ethnic Costume Qipao Association Art Troupe with unique Xiangxi characteristics won the Diamond Award, which is the highest award of this competition.
 
In recent years, Jishou City has carried out mass cultural and sports activities that benefit the people to guide citizens to lead a sunny, healthy, and positive life. There are over 1,000 cultural and sports teams in the city, such as square dance teams, fitness teams, Miao drum teams, runway teams, street dance teams, basketball teams, and football teams, with more than 50,000 members and over 2,000 cultural and sports volunteers. These activities have enriched the cultural life of the people, improved the urban and civil quality, and promoted cultural tourism in Xiangxi across the country.
